St Gemma’s Hospice is seeking a Head Gardener to work within our Estates & Facilities Team. Working in our award-winning gardens you will support our Senior Maintenance Technician to lead the gardening team.
You will need to be organised, possess a broad range of gardening knowledge, and provide the highest standard for our patients, staff, and visitors.
Qualified to level 3 in Horticulture or equivalent is essential for the role.
The main responsibilities of the role are:
- Supervising the garden team.
- Recruitment and development of the garden volunteers.
- Development of the Gardens in an environmentally sustainable way.
- Health & Safety of the gardens
- Support with Outpatients gardening groups.
- The garden maintenance budget and capital investment.
