We are currently in search of a Finance & Operations Associate for an Education Foundation. This position is based in Chicago- The Loop. This is a Full-Time, Hybrid, Temporary to Permanent opportunity.

POSITION TITLE: Finance & Operations Associate
SCHEDULE: 40 hours/week (Hybrid 4-days/week in office)
DURATION: Temp to Perm
HOURLY RATE: $27.00- $30.00
Is This Your Dream Job? The Finance & Operations Associate is responsible for reviewing daily banking operations, managing accounts payable, general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and payroll. This is a temp to perm opportunity for the right candidate, with an anticipated salary of $57,000.
Our Ideal Candidate:
· 3+ years experience in nonprofit financial work
· Experience with Bill.com & Financial Edge
· Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
· Bachelor’s Degree
· COVID-19 vaccination preferred
How You Will Spend Your Day:
Finance Management
· Collaborate with external finance partners on audit preparations, Monthly Financial Review (MFR), and adherence to financial regulations.
· Lead the monthly financial review process and perform quarterly financial reviews against the budget and payroll.
· Coordinate the audit process, focusing on internal preparation through managing the timeline, diligent documentation, record keeping, and coordination for month-end financial processing and the annual financial audit.
· Review daily banking operations and manage relationships with benefit partners, ensuring efficient financial management and compliance.
· Regularly monitor and close accounts payable, participate in development/fundraising efforts, and track grant-making activities on a monthly basis.
· Review financial statements and General Ledger (G/L), ensuring correct coding and readiness for executive approval.
Payroll
· Prepare and review twice-monthly payroll journals, ensuring costs are accurately reflected and comply with financial policies.
Operations Support
· Coordinate the annual budgeting process, aligning financial resources with strategic goals and operational needs.
· Assist in the annual calendar planning process to support organizational effectiveness and strategic event planning.
· Aid Operations Associates with document retention, training, and monitoring.
· Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned
