As a Senior Contracts Administrator, you will be working with the Contracts Director, the Contracts department, and members of the Parallax Operations Division. When working with your team, you will be responsible for creating, coordinating, and managing contracts, and subcontracts supporting with a focus on reducing financial and operating risk. The Contracts Administrator position performs both pre and post-award contract, grant, and cooperative agreement activities supporting direct and indirect commercial and noncommercial efforts.
In addition to that, a typical day-in-the-life of a Parallax Senior Contracts Administrator includes:
- General Contract/Subcontract Administration: Manage all contract and financial assistance (grant and cooperative agreement) administration functions to ensure conformance with Parallax Advanced Research policy, procedures, and good business practices. With support from the Contract’s Director, assume the lead in resolving contractual problems with major clients by independently creating strategies for solutions and negotiating settlements. Ensure compliance with terms and conditions, as well as, the compliance of Parallax Advanced Research Subcontractors/Sub-awardees. Independently negotiate, draft, and award subcontracts within their signature authority. Brief Program Management on contractual nontechnical requirements, including deliverables. Conduct initial contract kickoff meeting. Complete bi-annual audit of all assigned contract records, conduct peer reviews of other Contract Staff to ensure avoidance of errors and omissions and support third-party audits conducted by oversight agencies such as the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA).
- General Pre-Award Responsibilities: Complete all actions required prior to award of contract, subcontract, grant, or cooperative agreement. This includes but is not limited to; independently supporting proposal responses, independently developing subcontractor RFP’s, conducting cost/price analysis, independent submission of proposals, and supporting the negotiation of contractual terms and conditions.
- Independently identify process and policy improvement. Assist with implementing positive change as an active team member. Conduct risk analysis and support the Contract’s Director in establishing policies and procedures to minimize company risk.
Ideally, you are looking for your next long-term challenge and have these skill?
- US Citizenship.
- Must have a bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- 6-10 years of contracts experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the FAR, Defense Acquisition Regulations System (DFARS), and other agency supplements.
- In-depth knowledge of 2 CFR 200, Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards.
- Must have general knowledge of Financial Assistance Mechanisms such as Grants, Cooperative Agreements, and other Cooperative Research & Development Agreements.
- Must have a background that would not preclude a security clearance being granted.
Furthermore, do you have, or want to develop these skills?
- Master’s Degree in Business or Related Field.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint.
- Experience with Research and Development (R&D) contracts.
- A Professional Certification, such as National Contract Management Association (NCMA) CPCM, CFCM, or CCCM.
- Experience working with non-profit organizations.
