Donington Court is our residential care facility located at Castle Hill and home to 120 residents, based at Castle Hill is seeking a Care Supervisor to work morning shifts, 10 days a fortnight.
Reporting to the Care Manager, the Care Supervisor will ensure the physical comfort and emotional well-being of residents by leading a team of Carers. The Care Supervisor will ensure residents receive the highest level of care possible by coaching and mentoring their team and planning tasks in accordance to their team members individual strengths and needs.
Applicants interested in this role must available to work across Monday to Friday with a possibility to work on weekends and overtime.
Key accountabilities include (not limited to):
• Ensures that team members know how to apply the techniques and processes that contribute to the emotional wellbeing of the residents;
• Contributes to the development of care plans and the funding process by ensuring that team members document information as required and by being involved in case conferences to develop/ amend the plans; and
• Contributes to the operation of the shift by working cooperatively with all the other Residential care staff and ensuring information is effectively communicated across shifts through handover, case conferences and team meetings.
Skills, knowledge and experience needed:
• Certificate IV in Aged Care or equivalent - essential
• Minimum 12 months experience with Anglicare - desirable
• Commitment to Anglicare’s vision, mission and values
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must have completed the Anglicare Care Supervisor training requirements and development program
