Position Title: Officer - Central Project
Management Unit (CPMU)
Organization: Lend A Hand India (LAHI)
Overview:
The Officer for the CPMU is instrumental in strategically
supporting LAHI’s State PMU teams working with various state and central
government bodies and key National Skilling & Education entities. This role
is pivotal for providing strategic direction on key policy areas, central
coordination with all State teams, and establishing a linkage between LAHI
Headquarters and State Programs.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic
Policy Work:
- Engage
in strategic work on key innovation policies of various prominent
education and skilling bodies, including the Ministry of Education, MSDE,
World Bank, and ADB.
- Guide
State PMU teams on Vocational Education innovation projects run by
international institutions in multiple states.
- Planning,
Execution, and Monitoring Support:
- Assist
CPMU and State PMUs in planning, executing, and monitoring vocational
education activities throughout the academic year.
- Support
the leadership of the CPMU Team in carrying out central tasks to assist
LAHI’s 25 State PMU teams.
- Research
and Advocacy:
- Aid
in conducting research on relevant skill ecosystem topics for the
creation of policy drafts, SOPs, strategy papers, proposals, and concept
notes to be shared with senior government officials.
- Liaise
with key state government officials to build advocacy and strengthen
partnerships.
- Event
Coordination and Data Management:
- Assist
in organizing and facilitating meetings and events with multiple
stakeholders.
- Support
the CPMU leadership in data management tasks and other responsibilities
as assigned.

Experience & Qualifications:
- 2
to 4+ years of experience in implementing government schemes, private
sector projects, or social enterprises.
- Experience
working with senior bureaucrats and government agencies at state or
central levels (preferred).
- Interest
and experience in writing, research, data analytics, and people
management.
- Graduation
in any stream (technical field preferred); Postgraduate degree in Social,
Education, or a relevant technical sector is desirable.
- Experience
in working with multiple teams in middle management roles and some
leadership experience.
- Strong
research, monitoring & evaluation, program management, and people
management skills.
- Proficient
in drafting proposals, making presentations, SOPs, concept notes, etc.,
and in using Microsoft & Google tools for analytics &
documentation, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Forms, etc.
- Excellent
written and verbal communication skills, adept at communicating ideas and
strategies to government officers, external partners, and internal teams
at various levels.
