Good Neighbor Partners and Champions
· Coordinates LSSNCA’s Good Neighbor Partners (GNP) and Champions refugee co-sponsorship program through recruitment, training, screening, onboarding, and matching groups with refugee families.
· Aligns language, messaging, onboarding and offboarding processes, communication practices, training, and all aspects related to the Good Neighbor Partners and Champions program across the entire organization-effectively and ensure consistent experiences for groups.
· Oversees and monitors the lifecycle of GNP commitments through advising on logistics of apartment setups, monitoring of GNP activities, tracking commitment and progress towards client goals, and providing ongoing, proactive, and responsive support to GNP groups via email, calls, and visits.
· Serves as an external point of contact for the GNP program across Virginia as well as liaises between GNP groups, Champions, and Case Managers, to ensure smooth and efficient GNP communication and processes.
· Provides guidance to RIS staff in their interactions with GNP groups and ensure clear expectations for the program.
· Monitors the lifecycle of GNP commitments using program trackers and ensure open channels of communication with GNPs, including updates in program referrals/transitions for clients.
· Collects records of co-sponsor, volunteer and in-kind for the GNP program in collaboration with case managers, employment team, MD Site Managers/Directors, and the finance department.
· Creates and regularly updates GNP training, resources, and other program materials aligned with the values of the program and mission of the agency.
· Supports GNP program evaluation, improvement, and growth.
Volunteer & Intern Management
Maintains current knowledge of the U.S. Resettlement Program and all Refugee and Immigrant Services program offerings at LSSNCA.
Nurtures, preserves, and expands volunteer relationships with LSSNCA though training, onboarding, tracking, reporting, and engagement.
Liaises with program staff to develop and maintain streamlined mechanism or process of monitoring, fulfilling, and anticipating volunteer, intern, and service group needs across LSSNCA programs and sites.
Utilizes the agency’s volunteer management database (i.e., Volunteer Hub) and works with the Volunteer Coordinator to meet the needs of clients by effectively pairing them with interested volunteers.
Reports on agency volunteer activities and hours on a monthly and quarterly basis according to specific program guidelines, including Matching Grant and Reception and Placement.
Supervises 1-2 interns or admin volunteers who work with LSSNCA programs or projects (e.g., refugee family mentoring, tutoring, Refugees Give Back).
Supports the development of volunteer training resources and written/online materials for respective programs.
Oversees refugee family mentoring program and support development of new volunteer focused programs and initiatives.
Leads and facilitates regular volunteer orientation sessions (e.g., monthly) and provide 1:1 support to volunteers and interns for program-specific training.
Innovates new volunteer related opportunities, and research and incorporate best/promising practices in nonprofit volunteer management, volunteer engagement and retention, and resettlement agency program support.
Community Engagement
· Conducts regular outreach to congregations and groups via presentations and other speaking engagements, targeting both faith and secular communities in Virginia.
· Maintains and strengthens partnerships and positive working relationships with community partners, including congregations, volunteer organizations, and other community groups.
· Serves as main point of contact in fielding questions from stakeholders in the community across all VA sites and connects key LSSNCA staff to address timely concerns/issues.
· Collaborates with Community Engagement team and key internal programmatic stakeholders to plan and implement in-person or virtual activities or events that involve volunteers, such as LSSNCA holiday projects, donation drives, food deliveries, World Refugee Day celebrations, and volunteer appreciation activities.
· Supports strategic volunteer/intern recruitment and expansion of agency “footprint” online and in the community.
