The Smith Family is a children’s education charity that helps young Australians experiencing disadvantage to create better futures for themselves through harnessing the power of education.
We are currently seeking an Administration Assistant to help us achieve The Smith Family’s vision. Reporting to the Office Manager (Victoria) and working alongside a committed and passionate team who support each other and enjoy collaborating with one another. Provide administrative support to the NSW Operational team!
About our role
You will primarily be responsible for:
- Provide general coordination and reception assistance for the State Office.
- Provide administrative support to the wider Victorian Operations Team.
- Managing all creditors, including reconciling monthly statements, processing, and following up invoices.
- Manage all incoming communication from internal and external stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot IT issues in the State Office and effectively manage subsequent disruptions.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes of team members.
- Assist with work health and safety processes and requirements.
- Assist with special projects including property and records management.
About you
As well as passion for community, you will bring the following:
- Demonstrated experience of working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically to solve problems.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A flexible and willing attitude to follow instruction and undertake new challenges.
- Intermediate or advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of programs and IT troubleshooting skills.
- Have or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check for employment.
