GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The major responsibility of this position is to provide support to all agency staff and troubleshoot agency equipment. Responsible for creating/maintaining websites (60%) computer training/support to program staff (10%). Assist IT Coordinator and Software Technician with troubleshooting existing computer systems and network administration is another major responsibility of this position as well as new hardware and software installation (30%).
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
JOB TASKS
1. Maintain and design websites. Generate, revise, and lay out content on web pages.
2. Ensure the web servers, hardware, and software are operating accurately.
3. Examine and analyze site traffic. Monitor and analyze site performance (e.g traffic, conversions)
4. Utilize scripting languages such as Javascript.
5. Serve as the webserver administrator.
6. Regulate and manage access rights of different users on website.
7. Create and modify appearance and setting of site.
8. Respond to heavy volumes of email.
9. Test websites to see if there are any parts that are difficult to use.
10. Meet with designers to agree on site’s design.
11. Fix links that don’t work and pictures that aren’t appearing properly. Debug pages and fix broken links or images.
12. Decide how site’s content will be delivered to the Internet.
13. Test different browsers and ensure people with different computers can access a website.
14. Build functional and easy-to-use websites
15. Test websites across browsers, operating systems, and devices.
16. Ensure site security by setting up firewalls and login pages.
17. Optimize loading speeds and capacity.
18. Update website content.
19. Address user complaints.
20. Proven experience as a Webmaster or Web Developer
21. Familiarity with web standards.
22. Working knowledge of website management tools.
23. Proficient in HTML/CSSS,XML;PHP, Word Press, Drupal and Javascript is preferred
24. Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities
25. Ability to generate creative ideas
26. Attention to detail and outstanding organizational skills
27. Knowledge of computer hardware, OS, and networking
28. Cooperate with any Agency, DDD, and DCP&P investigation and inspection
30. Ensures compliance with wearing a mask when mandated by State, Federal, and Licensing authorities during a public health crisis/pandemic.
31. All other duties as assigned
