Summary: Child Mind Institute (CMI) is recruiting a Clinical Social Worker for the Mood Disorders Center (MDC). The center offers cutting edge, evidence-based and tailored treatment services for children, adolescents, and young adults suffering from mood disorders and related concerns, including depressive disorders, bipolar disorder, disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, suicidality and self-harm, and emotional dysregulation. Clinicians within the center are experienced in treating the full range of mood disorders and other comorbid disorders. Successful candidates will collaboratively participate in our multidisciplinary group practice and contribute to a dynamic, growing team. Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluations and evidence-based treatment, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions, to children, adolescents, and young adults with mood disorders, including patients with comorbid anxiety and externalizing disorders
- Conduct family-based interventions with parents and other family members and maintain collateral contacts with educators and other providers
- Collaborate with our board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrists on cases requiring pharmacotherapy
- Provide clinical supervision to trainees
- Conduct workshops, presentations and webinars on children’s mental health topics for community outreach
- Other related duties as assigned
