Aspire Living & Learning is currently looking for an HR Partner for our Bel-Air, Maryland location. As the HR Partner, you hold the critical responsibility of cultivating a vibrant organizational culture that aligns with our mission and values. You serve as a bridge between organizational objectives and the needs of Aspire’s dedicated employees and management within designated program areas. With a focus on fostering partnerships and nurturing a positive work environment, you play a pivotal role in shaping the culture of our organization. Reporting to the Director, People Team, you are instrumental in driving cultural initiatives that support our collective success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular meetings with designated program areas to cultivate strong relationships and foster a culture of collaboration.
- Provide expert HR guidance to line management as needed, emphasizing the importance of culture in all decision-making processes.
- Analyze data trends and metrics in collaboration with the people and culture team to develop innovative solutions, programs, and policies that promote a positive work culture.
- Effectively manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, ensuring fairness and transparency in all investigations.
- Stay abreast of legal requirements related to employee management, proactively minimizing risks and ensuring compliance while upholding our cultural values.
- Offer day-to-day performance management support to line management, emphasizing coaching, counseling, and career development opportunities.
- Actively work to strengthen work relationships, boost morale, and enhance productivity and retention through close collaboration with both management and employees.
- Provide clear interpretation and guidance on HR policies, emphasizing their role in shaping our organizational culture.
- Develop and support employees through contract terms, promotions, and transfers, ensuring alignment with our cultural values and goals.
- Provide valuable input on program area restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning, emphasizing the importance of cultural fit.
- Identify training needs for program areas and provide tailored training and coaching to support cultural growth and development.
- Participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure their effectiveness in promoting our desired culture.
- Fulfill any other related duties as assigned.

- Ability to comprehend and interpret organizational hierarchy, job roles, qualifications, and compensation practices to support cultural alignment.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines, ensuring timely implementation of cultural initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address cultural challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software to support cultural initiatives and communication efforts.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in resolving complex employee relations issues, with a focus on cultural alignment.
- Working knowledge of various HR disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and employment laws.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, with a focus on human resources or related field.
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred, or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of desk work involving computer use to support cultural initiatives and communication efforts.
