The Growth team has a goal of creating meaningful connections with donors and driving funding to our community of nonprofit partners. You will be responsible for ensuring that midlevel donors are supported, developing a robust program for midlevel donors, and sharing insights and best practices along the way. You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of donors, global nonprofits, and internal partners.

Primary Responsibilities
Donor Cultivation and Stewardship / Relationship Management (60%)
- Serve as the primary relationship manager for a large portfolio of midlevel donors who primarily give online by engaging in regular communication to cultivate, steward, and solicit them and supporting nonprofit partners in their efforts with these donors by developing related content and tools.
- Responsible for developing and achieving revenue goals associated with the portfolio, including forecasting portfolio revenue, with a premium placed on donor retention and increased giving.
- Executing cultivation and stewardship tactics for midlevel donors at scale in partnership with the Marketing and Communications team and the Customer Service Hub to attain our fundraising goals.
- Effectively communicating GlobalGiving’s mission, theory of change, priorities, core offerings, and community of project leaders to donors.
- We are committed to “wowing” our customers, both internal and external, and hope you will be, too. Specific responsibilities may include resolving donor inquiries in ZenDesk, responding to donors by phone and email, and coordinating the resolution of problems as they arise.
- Recording touchpoints like notes from calls, interactions, and emails, or new/updated information about donors in an organized manner and regularly reporting on progress towards portfolio goals.
- Liaising with the strategic giving team to develop strategies and tactics for identifying and cultivating select midlevel donors into major donors.
- Work closely with Growth team members to ensure the success of overall team goals, long-term growth, and provide an excellent donor experience.
Program Development (20%)
- Demonstrates project management expertise by developing and implementing a plan that will grow our midlevel program in alignment with GlobalGiving’s 5-year strategy, especially our digital modernization.
- Conducts market research, collects business intelligence, and identifies trends in digital philanthropy and giving with the Manager of Donor and Market Analytics to make data-driven decisions on how GlobalGiving can best capitalize on opportunities like giving circles and thematic giving, among others.
- Regularly shares insights from donors and market research, especially as they relate to technology modernization efforts, with the Senior Manager of Donor Growth to support the development of a thriving marketplace.
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives within GlobalGiving that support the Growth team’s goals to continuously strengthen donor relationships and increase revenue.
Midlevel Campaign Support (10%)
- Build upon the success of July Bonus Day by implementing a donor-driven approach to attaining campaign goals.
- In collaboration with the Senior Associate, Campaigns, and Community, identify and develop resources and collateral as needed.
Disaster Response (10%)
- During disaster response times, demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative approach to meet time-sensitive donor requests, support organizational needs, and ensure an effective response.
- Support the launch of disaster funds by providing a midlevel donor perspective to the cross-functional team and preparing and sending thank you notes, both automated and personalized.
RequirementsRequired Qualifications
For our team to be a great fit for you, the following qualifications should resonate with you:
- Demonstrated experience and success in nonprofit fundraising and/or donor engagement positions over a minimum of 4 years.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement nonprofit fundraising strategy, particularly midlevel programs, digital mass-market, and peer-to-peer fundraisers.
- Strong relationship management skills in a service-oriented environment, with specific experience working with individual donors.
- The ability to clearly communicate with donors in writing and verbally.
- The ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and manage time effectively.
- Proven project management skills, working across different parts of an organization, including the ability to balance multiple tasks and projects while delivering quality work on schedule.
- Ability to think strategically and right-size initiatives to meet expectations and goals.
- The ability to communicate ideas effectively, to listen to others' ideas, and to collaborate to arrive at great solutions.
- Awareness of and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and orientations.

Preferred Qualifications
In addition, the ideal candidate would also have some or all of the following qualifications:
- Familiarity with membership programs, email marketing, and/or virtual campaigns.
- Understanding of major gifts programs and moves management.
- Experience in working with organizations in the international development, humanitarian, and/or poverty alleviation space.
- Experience with Google Suite, Canva, ZenDesk, and reporting and analytical tools such as SQL and Metabase.
- Experience using a CRM such as Salesforce.

$75,000k to $85,000K annually, depending on experience.

Location
This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Manager of Donor Growth. GlobalGiving is a hybrid workplace allowing for frequent remote work. While candidates based in the greater Washington, DC area are preferred, we will consider strong candidates who wish to work remotely.
