Te āhuatunga a te tūranga - About the Role
Literacy Aotearoa is looking for a highly motivated Site Administrator to join our Nelson team in a part-time role for 8 hours per week.
The Site Administrator is responsible for carrying out all administrative tasks required as well as undertaking reception duties in a professional and friendly manner. The Site Administrator needs to be welcoming and contribute to an inclusive working environment where differences are acknowledged and respected. The Site Administrator ensures that the Literacy Aotearoa health and safety guidelines are actioned for the safety of all learners and personnel.
He pūkenga tou - Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you will be able to work collaboratively with others and follow instructions. You will also have the ability to produce documents to a professional standard and to maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring accessibility to authorised personnel. You will need to be adaptable and well organised to thrive in a varied work environment. Relevant experience, preferably in the community, not for profit or education sector(s), and practical experience in education administration and academic practices would be an advantage.
You will also bring:
- A commitment to the kaupapa to honour Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
- Experience in engaging with Māori, Pasifika and at-risk youth in education
- Knowledge and/or desire to increase the literacy and numeracy skills of adult learners.
- Experience of working with online databases.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with learners, local community organisation, whānau, hapū, iwi, and workplaces.
- Experience in using Microsoft Office 365 (SharePoint, Outlook, Excel), Zoom and online learning platforms.
