ABOUT THIS ROLE
YWCA Australia is currently seeking a dedicated Program Facilitator to join our Amplifying Voices team in our Darwin office. This is a part time (3 days per week) role on a maximum term contract ending on 30 June 2025.
The role is responsible for the implementation of the lived experience led domestic and family violence prevention program called Amplifying Voices by:
- Coordinating and delivering participant-designed leadership and advocacy programs
- Facilitating the co-design and delivery of CALD and First Nations programs in collaboration with key stakeholders
- Coordinating the screening process for participants of the program
- Supporting the participation of individuals and groups by identifying participant needs, making referrals, facilitating reflection and debriefing with individuals
ABOUT YOU
The ideal applicant will have:
- Degree level qualifications in social and community services, health promotion or similar
- Comprehensive knowledge of and experience working with domestic, family and sexual violence as well as an ability to ensure the safety of victim survivors
- Knowledge of intersect between domestic and family violence and homelessness and housing risk
- Highly developed understanding of primary prevention theory and practice
- Experience and confidence in strategic advocacy and lobbying for systems change
This position will require the applicant to satisfactorily meet our pre-employment requirements. This includes:
- Completion of a national criminal history check
- A valid relevant state-based working with children permit.
