Front Desk Admin Support
Per diem (as needed)
The Opportunity Alliance is seeking per diem/relief Front Desk Admin Support to be able to jump in and support our 190 Lancaster office location.
The Per Diem Front Desk Admin support position supports the programs and departments within the agency with walk in client reception, phone support and relevant clerical duties and tasks primarily covering for the planned or unplanned absence of the primary admin position due to PTO, Training and sick leave. This position includes reception of a diverse population, supporting a dynamic team through clerical tasks and efficient communication. The position is responsible for ensuring clients coming into the location are directed or triaged to the appropriate agency programs, partners and community members to address the need or inquiry for services. The position supports referral applications, manages incoming and outgoing mail, provides phone service support, provides general administrative/clerical support and or special work projects to ensure operations are not negatively impacted by staff vacancy.
This position is a per diem position covering both part-time and full-time vacancies and works collaboratively within departments and programs across the agency as needed.
Schedule: Per Diem (as needed); there is no set schedule and hours cannot be guaranteed
Location: Onsite in Portland, ME
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft office suite required, excellent customer service skills required, basic office management and administrative skills required.
- 3-5 years’ administrative support or reception experience in a busy office with multiple demands and client/program interactions preferred.be able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check.
- Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.
- Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, typing and frequently lift and carry small children or material weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings but is not a primarily and essential job responsibility.
