Title: Technology Specialist
This is an entry level Criminal Justice position
Starting Pay: $17.50/hr
Location: Golden, CO
Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
on-call 1 week, every 4-6 weeks
This position requires in-custody technology hookups in a jail setting.
OVERVIEW
This entry-level criminal justice position will monitor caseload of clients ordered to comply with Intervention technology including but not limited to electronic monitoring, monitored sobriety and/or GPS. Completes record keeping and compliance reporting.

Meet with new clients and explain program rules and regulations, deadlines, and client responsibilities and expectations.

Enter client data into the Technology Management System and ICON.

Hook wearable technology on clients, download information from wearable devices

Maintain complete, accurate and timely case file, both paper and electronic, for each client on caseload.

Assess and collect client fees, issue receipt to clients and secure payment appropriately

Work with probation staff and/or criminal justice personnel on client issues and client staffing as directed by manager

Monitor drug and alcohol tests, including UA monitoring of same sex clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED);and one year customer service experience
- Computer skills -- Ability to enter data, generate reports and create communications from variety of software programs and databases
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to remain calm in and de-escalate stressful situations
- Knowledge of the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and appropriate techniques and practices for the client population.
- Ability to interact effectively as a team member and independently with Company staff, stakeholders, and with diverse client base.
- Must have ability to access state criminal databases
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to handle office traffic such as answering phones and dealing with walk in clients.
- Must be able to trouble shoot/problem solve.
