TITLE: Licensed Clinical Social Worker
CLASSIFICATION: Exempt, Full-Time with eligibility for medical, dental, and vision health
benefits as well as 401k plan eligibility.
COMPENSATION: $100,000 per year (non-negotiable)

We are partners with the Si Se Puede Collective and local agencies to make social services more accessible to the Mayfair Community; to strengthen individuals and the community through education; and to address social inequities by creating strong leaders through community organizing. Amigos de Guadalupe fulfills its mission by focusing on four strategies: Expansive Outreach (alcance comunitario), Trusted Information & Referral (amigos de confianza), Targeted Direct Services Program (comunidad fortalecida) and Case management (compañerismo).
Background:
We are currently seeking an emotionally intelligent, culturally aware Social Worker with a keen understanding of equity issues to join our team.
As an advocate, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals enhance their capacities and coping mechanisms, improving their daily lives and experiences. Within specified standards and timescales, you will provide valuable support and guidance, fostering positive change and contributing to the well-being of our community.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, manage, and implement support plans to help clients and families deal with difficulties and overcome dependencies
- Interview those needing services and assess their current condition, needs, strengths, and weaknesses
- Ability to provide culturally appropriate program development and service delivery
- Address each case as unique and set tailored measurable goals
- Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress and modify treatment plans accordingly
- Offer information and counseling on the best course of action during sessions
- Maintain accurate records and report on clients’ status and progress
- Teach clients and families strategies that help them overcome challenges.
- Attend case conferences
- Act as a key-member of our team and work in multidisciplinary teams
- Refer clients to community services as appropriate
- Provide support and professional development to our team members
- Employ our values of radical hospitality and a two-generation (2-Gen) approach to working with individuals and families
- Act as a liaison between public and private agencies
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements and Competencies:
- Proven work experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Cultural and linguistic proficiency in Spanish
- Experience working with immigrants and migrants
- Working knowledge of social theories and practices as well as equity-related issues
- Social-emotional perceptiveness and empathy
- Ability to build and maintain professional helping relationships
- Ability to relate to and communicate with diverse population and groups
- Resilience coupled with ability to assess situations.
- Willing to submit to background checks.
- BS degree in social work (BSW), psychology, or sociology
- Experience with Medical billing
