The Ocean Community YMCA now has a part-time, 16 hour per week, opportunity for a Welcome Center Specialist. This position is located at our Westerly-Pawcatuck Branch.
Responsibilities include:
- Serving as the lead staff member for the Welcome Center by overseeing procedures and processes already in place.
- Conducting cause-driven tours for prospective new members.
- Continuously providing top quality customer service to all members, participants, and guests.
- Assisting the Membership Director with training and onboarding staff.
- Keeping cash and processing close outs in an accurate fashion.
- Identify and resolve problem areas to ensure member satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Excellent organizational and customer service skills
- Experience (1-2 years) in customer service, preferably in a supervisory position
- Proficient with cash processes and data entry
- Positive, friendly attitude
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- CPR/AED/First Aid/Emergency Oxygen Administration certification-American Red Cross preferred-YMCA willing to train.
