Job Title: Program Manager of Career and Financial Services

Salary Range: $60,000 - $68,000
Overview:
The ProgramManager of Career and Financial Services is a specialist PM position that collaborates with the Senior Director to support thedesign, development, and coordination of Heading Home’s economic mobility services to families and individuals. The PMCFS will work with the Heading Home team to make the agency an innovator ineconomic mobility for its program’s participants, bringing together a broad array of community services to help meet the needs of our families and individuals. The PM-CFS will work with the Career and Financial Services staff as well as Heading Home’s leadership team to plan, manage, and implement programming in the areas of career development, financial education, and money management.
Areas Of Service
Career Development
Career development focuses on increasing employment opportunities through resume review, job search, interview preparation and employment readiness. Staff will also support program participants in accessing the educational qualifications needed for professional employment (e.g., GED, HiSET and higher education) Using the Mobility Mentoring model, the CFS navigators, under the guidance of the PMCFS, will set SMART goals with clients to help them take the next step in their education or career.
Financial Education and Management
Financial education and management focuses on coaching program participants on healthy saving habits and debt reduction. The PMCFS will support the CFS navigators as they provide coaching sessions covering basic banking services, predatory lending, monthly budgeting, and creating debt reduction/repayment plans. Advanced coaching sessions focus on helping participants to identify ways of saving assets, building credit, and understanding housing ownership and educational plans.
Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions:
- Builds, leads, and inspires a diverse team of career and financial services professionals towards client-focused goals while maintaining positive team culture, particularly during times of organizational growth and change;
- Provides regular supervision and support to CFS staff members;
- Oversees the delivery of services, including program evaluation, and recommends program/policy changes that ensure quality and accuracy of expected outcomes and goals;
- Identifies, develops, and maintains partnerships with strategic community partners to foster and build the growth of Heading Home’s career and financial services;
- Manages Heading Home’s IDA matched savings program, and the relationship with the banking and savings institutions that support it.
- Develops, strengthens, and maintains job placement and career development opportunities;
- Ensures that adherence to behavior change models such as Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Informed Care are in place, and develops protocols and standards for appropriate monitoring throughout program;
- Collaborates with the Senior Director, Chief Development Officer and the Development Team planning and executing fundraising and cultivation events to ensure the future funding of economic mobility services;
- Serve as liaison with Community based organizations, attends meetings with such organizations as needed;
- Perform other tasks as requested by the Senior Director, VP of Operations, Chief Operation Officer, or the Chief Executive Officer;
- Observes program and agency rules and policies.

Work Environment
- Cubicle space or shared office within large office building; prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer, OR, requires equal amounts of sitting and standing, must be able to climb stairs.Office is open to the public and visitors only by appointment. Position requires a minimum of four days onsite. Office is climate controlled with heat and air conditioning.
- Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend stairs up to three or more sets, frequently move equipment weighing up to 25 lbs., must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
