The Trust’s estate has grown in recent years to almost 1,000 hectares. It includes iconic habitats and some outstanding exemplars of conservation land management. Some already have significant visitor footfall. We do not plan to expand our holding significantly, but we need to address two emerging priorities which will have implications for the way we manage our land. The first is the need to attract a more diverse audience to spend time in key nature reserves, whilst maintaining the highest standards of ecological management. The second is to acquire and manage land to demonstrate the conservation potential of new ‘green finance’ mechanisms such as Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG).
What you will be doing:
We’re looking for someone who can help our nature reserves play an enhanced role in achieving our strategic goals in conservation, people engagement, and natural capital.
