This NPO requires a Marketing Manager who will lead the marketing strategy for social media community growth, engagement, as well as organic growth initiatives. The role will have oversight on content creation relevant to the Christian Faith and Christian communication strategies. The position is responsible for managing all marketing systems, advertising budgets, strategic project scoping, and establishing key performance indicators to deliver various growth campaigns on time and within budget.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, project managers, and data analyst, the role focuses on embedding a data-driven culture of continuous improvement. This includes evaluating marketing tools, leveraging insights to guide the overall strategy, and ensuring compliance with data governance and POPIA standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee Social marketing strategies aligned with overarching organisational goals, collaborating with key leadership to shape organisational direction.
Deliver data-driven marketing insights for strategic planning, assist with project scoping, align KPIs, and define success metrics.
Manage internal marketing eco-system and processes, including advertising management, budgeting, and marketing tools.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including location Managers, Project Managers, and other team members—to ensure project deliverables meet budget and timeline requirements.
Promote data-driven decision-making, foster continuous marketing impact improvement, and support clear communication across various teams.
Lead and mentor the marketing team, contributing to onboarding, training, and assist with any change management for new systems or policies implemented.
Ensure strict adherence to data governance, privacy, and regulatory standards across all marketing operations.
Spearhead technology and automation adoption within marketing, remaining current with digital marketing developments and AI automation.
Collaborate across global time zones, maintaining flexibility for occasional out-of-hours availability.
Requirements
Essential Requirements
Minimum 5 years of experience in both organic and paid marketing strategy, with a proven background in social marketing growth.
Demonstrated experience leading a cross-functional team, driving ongoing improvement, and implementing data-driven decision-making.
In-depth knowledge of POPIA data governance, privacy standards, regulatory compliance, and marketing oversight.
Strong analytical mindset with experience in using data to shape strategy and measure performance.
Proven capability in evaluating, recommending, and implementing marketing tools, systems, and process automations.
Experience in implementing autonated and AI-assisted systems to improve efficiences and workflows.
Strong organisational, detail-oriented, and multi-priortisation skills to manage multiple concurrent projects.
Excellent communication, relational, and change management skills in complex organisational environments.
Practicing Christian representing the core faith and in full agreement with the organisation's statement of faith, actively involved in a local church community, and committed to biblical values.
Preferred : background in missions, digital Christian ministry, or discipleship, and a passion for reaching unreached people groups.
