Position Title: Retirement and Benefits Specialist

Summary
C² Technologies seeks Retirement and Benefits Specialists to support federal human capital programs. This position provides guidance and administrative support related to federal retirement, insurance, savings, and employee benefit programs throughout the employee lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Counsel employees regarding federal retirement and benefit programs
Explain eligibility, enrollment, coverage, and life-event requirements
Review retirement applications and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy
Prepare retirement estimates and assist employees with retirement planning
Process benefit enrollments, changes, transfers, and terminations
Research employee service histories and resolve discrepancies affecting benefits or retirement eligibility
Support the Federal Employees Retirement System, Civil Service Retirement System, Thrift Savings Plan, Federal Employees Health Benefits Program, and Federal Employees’ Group Life Insurance
Assist employees with military service deposits, civilian service deposits, beneficiary designations, and survivor benefit elections
Coordinate with payroll offices, benefits providers, and applicable government organizations
Maintain accurate case files, counseling records, and benefits documentation
Respond to employee inquiries and escalate complex cases when appropriate
Protect personally identifiable information and sensitive employee records
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, public administration, finance, or a related field preferred
Relevant federal retirement and benefits experience may be considered in place of education requirements
Experience
Experience administering retirement, insurance, leave, or employee benefit programs
Federal retirement and benefits experience strongly preferred
Experience reviewing retirement packages and calculating service credit preferred
Experience providing benefits counseling to employees and retirees
Tools & Systems
Federal retirement and benefits processing systems
Employee personnel and payroll databases
Retirement calculation or benefits administration tools
Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
Skills
Knowledge of federal retirement and employee benefit programs
Strong customer service and employee-counseling skills
Ability to explain complex benefit information clearly and accurately
Strong research, calculation, and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and protection of confidential information
Ability to manage sensitive cases and time-critical deadlines

Base Salary Range: $50,000 – $100,000 / year. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and structural alignment. Individual pay is influenced by several factors, including the candidate's work location, relevant experience, skillset, and contract constraints.
