●Direct and supervise program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives.
●Establish new program activities and expand program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
●Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations.
●Review, approve and submit staff time cards to payroll per schedule.Manage time off requests.
●Monitor daily pool operations to adhere to all state, local and YMCA healthy and safety regulations.
●Supervise the maintenance of the pools including equipment, chemicals, daily chlorine, pH, temperature readings and backwash procedures.Maintain accurate records of pool chemical levels and facility maintenance.
●Conduct lifeguard, swim instruction, First Aid and CPR trainings.
●Plan, coordinate, and schedule swim and water fitness classes.Work with other staff to enhance participation levels and meet the goals and objectives of the YMCA Aquatic Programs.
●Assist in the marketing and distribution of program information while adhering to the graphic standards related to the Y brand.
●Develop and monitor program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
●Compile program statistics. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of and participation in program.
●Lead all required staff meetings and training sessions.
●Provide all departmental staff with training opportunities to improve procedures and increase proficiency.Ensure all mandatory training session are scheduled and funded.
●Research and purchase new equipment utilizing purchase orders and check requests.
●Follow all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures; including emergency and safety procedures.Complete incident and accident reports as necessary.
