·Plan a curriculum that takes into consideration the needs of each child and the goals and objectives of the YMCA.
·Be responsible for the safety of the children at all times.
·Plan daily/weekly/monthly lesson plans, and assist the staff in their implementation
·Sustaining our Level 3 Paths to Quality rating, demonstrate compliance with applicable laws, regulations, licensure and accreditation standards.
·Be responsible of daily record keeping and adherence to all requirements.
·Supervise and train staff in all areas, including emergency procedures.
·Attending all staff meetings and trainings as required by the YMCA.
·Oversee the daily maintenance of the space and facility.
·Attend and/or conduct parent conferences as needed.
·Plan and implement parent-child activities.
- Assist with the budget development
·Continue professional development through community involvement, reading and further education
·Participate in the YMCA Annual Campaign, and in the United Fund Campaign as needed.
-Assist in brochure development, including child-care write-ups, costs, and scheduling of classes.
-Assist in long-range planning process and execution of objectives developed in that process.
- Must have strong communication skills, practical and strong decision-making skills, versatility, initiative and strong human relations skills.
· To hire, train, supervise, recognize, evaluate, schedule, and terminate staff.
-Accept YMCA training opportunities as deemed appropriate by supervisor.
-Participate in community activities that develop a high profile for yourself and the YMCA.
-Secure residency in Decatur County within six (6) months of hire.
-Accept additional responsibilities as deemed appropriate in order to help the YMCA accomplish its mission.
