General Description: The Facility Director is responsible for overseeing all facilities, properties, and grounds for the interior and exterior of the Danville Family YMCA. Member Relationship, Loyalty and Involvement
1.Interpret, communicate, and promote Y mission, goals, and objectives to department employees, volunteer leaders, members, and the community.
2.Support branch/department initiatives related to membership retention and Annual Campaign goals.
3.Build and maintain positive relationships with members and staff.
Operational Performance
4.Develop, lead, supervise, and evaluate facility and property management including staffing, contractors, cleanliness, repairs, and supplies. Oversees cleaning crew.
5.Maintain safe and high quality standards, for the facility.
6.Oversee and manage pool operation to ensure compliance with state bathing code.
7.Provide leadership in major facility, pool or property repairs.
8.Perform minor plumbing, electrical and carpentry repair.
9.Develop, implement, and manage budgets in assigned areas of responsibility including timely and accurate forecasting and budget analysis.
Management and Leadership
10.Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff in assigned areas.
11.Develop and implement preventive maintenance and inspection schedule on all equipment and major systems in the facility.
12.Serve as a member of the Facilities Committee, and as a branch representative on applicable Association-wide cabinets.
13.Administer system of records, reports, and inventory in assigned areas.
Team Effectiveness
14.May serve as a building supervisor for assigned evenings and “on-call” weekends.
15.Serve as a consultant with other department staff in the purchase of equipment and on other projects that affect or relate to the facility and grounds.

Accountability
Supervise department staff. Oversee vendor contracts in a variety of areas including cleaning, HVAC, and outside ground maintenance. Works closely with numerous parties on new construction projects and reports directly to the Director of Operations Director. Keep him/her informed of plans, progress, and problems. Ability to work varied schedule which may include evenings and weekends.
