• Knows and reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures; completes related reports as required.
• Lead the planning and execution of fund development strategy, ensuring robust volunteer engagement and donor solicitation strategies.
• Analyze performance and implement data-driven improvements to maximize fundraising impact.
• Collaborate with leadership teams to align fundraising goals with organizational objectives.
• Build meaningful relationships with individuals internally and externally, corporate, and foundation donors. Plan and participate in cultivation events, donor recognition programs, employee campaigns, special events, and community engagement activities.
• Oversee donor databases and fundraising software, ensuring accurate data management and reporting.
• Work with the Executive Leadership team to solicit and secure principal and major gifts from individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
• Drive innovation in digital fundraising strategies, leveraging social media and technology to increase donor engagement.
• Measure and share monthly activity through written and verbal communication; deliver actionable insights by analyzing activity metrics and discussing key findings with key decision-makers.
• Set a culture of philanthropy through engaging donors and funders as thought partners and collective problem.
• Train and support staff and volunteers in fundraising best practices, donor stewardship, and campaign management.
• Serve as an inspirational leader for staff; promote a culture of strong integrity, high performance, meaningful collaboration, and continuous improvement that values commitment to equity, learning, diversity, inclusion, and quality.
• Knows, follows, and enforces all YMCA policies, rules, regulations, procedures, and staff expectations, including those for the prevention of child abuse.
• Ambassador of all YMCA programs with a focus on department offerings and member engagement.
• Attends all mandatory meetings and trainings.
• Be willing to do what it takes, even if it is outside of the stated position description, to contribute to the overall success of the YMCA.
