We are seeking a full-time Community Outreach Marketing Specialist (Marketing Specialist 3) to lead the implementation of marketing outreach efforts that promote our programs, services, events, and products. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, self-driven, with a proven ability to build relationships, think creatively, and solve problems. You will play a key role in communicating the impactful work we do at Stanford, building trust and engaging with referring physicians, healthcare providers, and patients. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be tasked with relaying complex medical information in a way that resonates with both doctors and patients, persuading them to consider Stanford’s world-class care and services.
In this role, you will work closely with physicians and medical teams, managing relationships and acting as a key point of contact to expand our outreach efforts. Understanding the local demographics and building strategies that effectively target the Bay Area healthcare community will be key to your success. You will also be tasked with promoting Stanford’s cutting-edge research and clinical services, with a focus on expanding our reach to the broader medical community and patient populations.

Duties include*:
- Travel Requirements: Must have a vehicle to visit medical and cardiologist offices within and outside of the Bay Area for outreach activities.
- Develop and communicate marketing plans across the organization to educate and engage stakeholders.
- Build collaborative partnerships with other departments, programs, services, events, and external vendors.
- Ability to work independently when needed, while maintaining strong communication and collaboration with the team.
- Support marketing goals by overseeing event planning and management as needed.
- Manage relationships with key vendors and consultants to enhance marketing efforts.
- Develop creative outreach strategies and identify solutions to promote Stanford’s services.
- Actively engage with referring physicians, healthcare providers, and patients to drive awareness and influence decisions.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Background in pharma or medical device sales (preferably within the cardiothoracic field).
- Preferred multilingual ability to facilitate community outreach in the greater San Francisco Bay Area.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED):
- Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience; or a combination of education and relevant experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED):
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior leaders.
- Extensive knowledge of strategic analysis, customer segmentation strategies and business and marketing planning.
- Demonstrated experience in integrated marketing strategy and execution across channels including digital; and print.
- Demonstrated application of market research and data analysis.
- Excellent project manager with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience presenting to senior management.
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
- CA Driver’s License-Valid and in State Required
