Department/Program Description:
The Facilities and Capital Planning (FCP) team plans, builds, and manages facilities and physical space within the School of Humanities and Sciences (H&S) in support of teaching, research and creative expression for students, faculty, and staff. Our mission and vision focus on providing leadership and expertise to create and support a culture of safety and maximize space utilization through thoughtful planning, programming, and project management.
FCP supports teaching and research within H&S, which utilizes over one million square feet of space distributed over more than 60 buildings. We help H&S build a culture of safety by fostering awareness and forging partnerships with university colleagues. We provide expertise in program and project management and facilities planning using tools and processes that make our team more efficient and dynamic. We are a high-performing, collaborative and flexible team, and we value our community's diverse perspectives, unique experiences, and inclusive culture.
