The Pulendran lab in the Department of ITI (Immunity, Transplantation and Infection) is seeking a Life Science Technician 1 (LST1). The LST1 is expected to work with the lab manager and assistant lab manager to maintain transgenic mouse colonies. In supporting research activities, the LST1 will perform lab maintenance tasks such as ordering supplies, maintaining chemical inventory and lab safety records, making stock solutions, and contributing to the organization and cleanliness of the lab space.
Duties include:
• Maintain transgenic mouse colonies
• Maintain lab stocks, manage chemical inventory and safety records, order supplies and provide general lab support.
• Help lab manager with maintaining clinical sample inventory
• Basic tasks of molecular biology and biochemistry under the supervision and given a detailed protocol.
This position is represented by SEIU Local 2007 and the collective bargaining agreement between the university and SEIU Local 2007 governs the terms and conditions of employment.
The expected pay range for this position is $32.05 (Step 1) to $38.64 (Step 10) per hour. Placement in the pay range is subject to the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
