JOB PURPOSE: Plan, implement, manage, and administer the full life cycle of key operational processes within Residential Education. Serve as departmental subject matter expert for campus policies and processes that impact the recruitment, selection, training, engagement, and evaluation of residential student leaders, including housing/facilities, building and systems access, events, training, and data management.
CORE DUTIES*:
- Independently implement, administer and evaluate day-to-day activities of the unit, function or program by identifying and executing tasks and objectives, making recommendations that impact policies and programs, and assigning resources to achieve the goals of the program.
- Coordinate and oversee the annual selection and training processes for 500 Residential Student Leaders (RAs and ETAs) under the guidance of the Associate Dean for Student Leader Engagement. Serve as the subject matter expert for the Student Affairs Application System (SAAS), managing 1,000 applications and associated data, designing the selection process, maintaining system access, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring accurate data management. Additionally, facilitate the appointment and termination processes for new and departing Residential Student Leaders.
- Collect and analyze data, create reports, review and explain trends; formulate and evaluate alternative solutions and/or recommendations to achieve the goals of the program or function.
- Conduct annual reviews and assessments of residential student leader selection and training programs, incorporating feedback from process emails and survey data to improve outcomes. Analyze SAAS selection data and create reports to inform future program planning and funding. Design and administer Qualtrics surveys to support ongoing evaluation and produce actionable insights for program enhancement.
- Analyze and interpret policies; develop, revise and implement procedures for program or function.
- Regularly engage with PAC12 and Ivy universities to share and incorporate student leader selection and training best practices.
- Represent the program or function as the key contact and subject matter expert within the department, unit or school. Commit resources and provide information and/or training. May also represent the program or function to external/internal stakeholders and constituencies.
- Coordinate with campus partners to update residential student leader processes, applications, and agreements. Develop and present onboarding, training, and informational materials for ResEd staff, student leaders, and campus partners. Collaborate weekly with campus partners to perform eligibility checks for residential student leaders.
- Process transactions and monitor and reconcile budgets that support the residential student leader programs.
- Organize and/or participate in outreach activities that may include developing communications and training, planning/promoting events and/or conferences.
- Manage communication channels, schedules, and inquiries related to residential student leader programs. Coordinate logistics for events such as fairs, appreciation events, and training sessions. Provide support for training conferences and ensure updates to ResEd website pages and communication templates in collaboration with the Communications team.
- May direct staff to perform various tasks and assignments. May also supervise staff.
- Indirectly coach and guide work of Community Coordinator cohort to ensure residential student leader selection tasks are done accurately and in a timely fashion.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Hybrid, 3 days a week
- Able to work on evenings and weekends, as needed
