Responsibilities
1. Manage facility coordination and safety by reporting and resolving quality issues, reviewing regulations, responding to safety inspections, conducting maintenance reviews and developing unit policy and procedures.
2. Direct design documentation of experimental testing, protocols and overseeing clinical/scientific studies.
3. Serve as technical consultant, interpreting results for pre-clinical and clinical to prepare for policy decisions and submit to regulatory agencies and peer-review abstracts.
4. Manage projects by overseeing teams, planning and performing validation analyses.
5. Ensure compliant data collection, maintenance, analysis and reporting.
6. Oversee creation of unified databases and running of statistical testing and estimates.
7. Manage protocols and procedures including external customer approvals, compliance documentation, and associated reference guides.
8. Manage the staff, facility, financial, educational and scientific resources required to provide consulting services and subject matter expertise on clinical/scientific data management, interpretation, and quality. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, or related scientific field or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience required. Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) preferred.
Management Experience: 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
Skills & Abilities:
* Ability to work on a team.
* Must possess medical/research laboratory experience working in the areas of virology, immunology, molecular biology and/or chemistry testing.
* Must be proficient with data management and database development.
* Must have experience in budget preparation.
* Experience with the preparation of investigational new drug (IND) applications and publication of peer-reviewed manuscripts preferred.
* Knowledge of blood bank operations and manufacturing preferred.
Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Depending on work assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. The work environment will consist of moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic). The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time. Overall mobility is essential. May also include driving a vehicle and working under challenging conditions.
