A team player: you will work in a small yet dedicated highly skilled team. All Grasplers work to execute our social impact with an honest ambition to grow Grasple into a strong commercial enterprise.

Grasple is in a shaping phase moving from start-up into becoming a scale-up, where each team member brings expertise and energy to be part of this design. Your responsibilities have direct impact, where your knowledge and insights are used to make decisions and plan for next steps.

For a motivated Sales executive commercial experience and a strong drive to close deals are the most important contributions to the team.

Grasple's mission is to make mathematics and statistics education open and accessible to everyone. How? We have developed software in which teachers can jointly create interactive exercises and share with everyone around the world. This allows students to learn mathematics and statistics by practising a lot and receiving direct and personal feedback.

As a Sales executive you will work closely with the CEO to further grow Grasple. You will give substantive demos, know the ins and outs of the program and you will help teachers and institutions decide whether our software is the right solution for what they want to achieve.

Every Graspler will grow due to achieving results, learning and reflecting. Growing for Grasple means: more impact, more revenue, more customers, more great features, larger community and more Grasplers to support our mission. The current core team will lead this growth.

What will you do as a Sales executive?

As a Sales executive you help Grasple grow by:

Closing deals based on value creation within the educational processes of our potential customers, focusing on mathematics and statistics.
Creating and giving technical presentations and demonstrations about our platform to customers and prospective customers
Helping potential customers explore and design the right solution.
You close deals with universities within Western Europe/Nordics/USA (e.g. Ireland, Great Britain, Denmark).
You visit conferences, meet with potential customers when travelling abroad, after securing meetings based on campaigns together with marketing.
You plan, prepare and execute trips in focus countries to meet potential customers
Identify the substantive wishes of prospects and help the CTO and the rest of the team make product choices, which increases the lead time for deal closing and enhances product fit.
Being part of a growth team you take part in lead generation and design selecting processes to continuously improve qualification and follow up effectiveness

Requirements for this position:

You have a proven track record of closing deals in previous roles. And you can provide references.
You speak and write proficiently in English. Knowledge of Dutch is very helpful yet not a hard requirement.
You are enthusiastic about education

It is a bonus if:

You feel comfortable to speak with statistics/maths professors/teachers, with or without your own statistics/maths knowledge being at level.
You are organised and have the ability to manage multiple projects with multiple stakeholders at the same time
You are eager to learn and have enough confidence to quickly get to know the market and the product while working.

Grasple: mission, innovations, and open business model

Grasple is a social enterprise. Our mission is to make knowledge on math and statistics openly accessible to everyone. We strive to help people learn these difficult concepts by practicing with high-quality exercises, created by educators who build on each other’s work.

To achieve this we have built an online practice platform with which teachers can create exercises and online lessons together and share them openly with their students and the rest of the world.

To ensure we can keep doing this and not be dependent on donations, we have created a business model very different from regular publishers: free for individuals, and educational institutions pay for extra functionalities, integration, and support.

Grasple is used at more than 42 universities and colleges (>65% of the Dutch market), including TUDelft and Utrecht University. Their students have already given more than 82 million answers! Currently the platform is used by more than 100.000 learners, directly via our platform and indirectly such as the EDx MOOC on Calculus by TU Delft
