Consultant, Social Enterprise Business Development

Join SpringForward Ventures, a mission-driven and pioneering social enterprise, incubated by PHILLIPS Programs as we forge paths to full employment through employee ownership, focusing on creating inclusive, sustainable and replicable businesses for young adults with behavioral health needs. This part-time consultancy role, with the potential to transition to full-time based on business growth and operational need, entails close collaboration with the President & CEO.

Key areas of responsibility to include:

Spearheading initiatives to further workforce development for adults with behavioral health needs by identifying, researching, evaluating, and proposing potential business ventures
Directly involved in the grassroots development of new enterprises, from crafting materials and managing HR tasks to overseeing the operational launch, embodying a hands-on, entrepreneurial spirit ready to navigate the startup environment
Facilitating the realization of business goals for social enterprises through strategic planning and execution of two businesses currently in early operation
Crafting persuasive business proposals to attract stakeholder interest and secure startup funding
Establishing operational frameworks and systems to support the inception of new social enterprises
Engaging in strategic business and operational planning to ensure long-term success

Qualifications

Required Credentials:

MBA or equivalent experience in relevant fields
Proven experience managing diverse projects both at micro and macro levels
Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and communication skills

Preferred Experience:

Knowledge or interest in worker cooperative and other innovative business structures
Passion for mission-driven social enterprises
Background in the disability sector is advantageous
Proficiency in business development and budget management
