We're seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join us as a part-time Community Inclusion Specialists. In this entry-level role, you'll have the opportunity to provide meaningful support to adults with developmental disabilities, helping them thrive in their communities.

What started as a mission to assist people with mental illness has evolved to encompass a wide range of vulnerable populations, including low-income elders, individuals with disabilities, and those who have recently experienced homelessness. Your Role - Community Inclusion Specialist:As a Community Inclusion Specialist at Mainstay, you'll play a pivotal role in helping adults with developmental disabilities lead fulfilling lives within their communities. Your compassion, dedication, and enthusiasm will be the driving force behind empowering participants to achieve their goals, develop essential skills, and foster meaningful connections.

What You'll Do:

One-on-One Support:Provide personalized assistance to participants in their daily activities, including medication reminders, personal care, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
Empowering Outings:Create and lead engaging outings that promote independence, community integration, skill development, and social connections.
Goal-oriented Coaching:Work closely with participants to implement their Individual Care Plans, helping them reach their objectives and aspirations.
Health and Well-being:Monitor participants' health and behavior, reporting any changes to supervisors promptly.
Community Engagement:Accompany participants to community events, activities, and volunteer opportunities, fostering a sense of belonging.
Confidentiality:Handle sensitive information with integrity and maintain the privacy of all participants.

Qualifications You Bring:

High School Diploma required, Bachelors Degree preferred
Preferred: 1-3 years of experience in a residential setting working with individuals with disabilities or elderly populations.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications within the first 30 days.
Proof of Covid Vaccination.
