Description

The Manager, Individual Giving is responsible for managing relationships with individual midlevel donors contributing up to $10,000. This role aims to strengthen donor commitment through tailored outreach and strategic engagement, while also supporting volunteer-led fundraising initiatives. This role will play a key role in growing donor contributions and fostering strong, lasting relationships with both current and prospective donors. This position is a hybrid role based in Philadelphia.

Key Responsibilities:

Donor Relationship Management:
- Oversee relationships with individual donors contributing up to $10,000, focusing on building personal connections and increasing their engagement with United Way
- Develop and execute strategies to grow allocable giving through education on United Way’s initiatives.

Volunteer-Led Fundraising:
- Create and manage a tracking mechanism for peer-to-peer fundraising efforts.
- Support board members and key champions in expanding the donor base by engaging with and leveraging their networks.

Strategic Planning & Execution:
- Plan and implement donor engagement strategies that create opportunities for increased investment.
- Leverage board and strategic relationships to achieve fundraising goals.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required.
Relevant certifications in fundraising or nonprofit management are a plus.

Experience:

5-7 years of experience in fundraising or campaign management, with a focus on individual donor/stakeholder engagement.
Proven success in managing donor relationships and developing tailored outreach strategies.

Skills:

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to present strategies and engage donors.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously.
Proficiency in fundraising software and CRM systems. Experience with data analysis tools is preferred.

Compensation: $80,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
