Position overview: Envision is a private not-for-profit agency with an operating budget of $14 million. We have been serving individuals with Developmental Disabilities and their families since 1963. We are currently seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team. The CFO is responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the agency in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles issued by regulatory and advisory organizations and in accordance with financial management techniques and practices appropriate within the nonprofit industry. The CFO provides timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO/President and the Board and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities. The CFO also leads organization’s technical staff to design an IT plan and implement it successfully to meet IT needs (hardware and software) as the organization grows.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in accounting required; Master’s degree in a related field (Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration) preferred
Five or more years of leadership experience
Strong interpersonal communication skills; business writing and technical skills
Age 18+
Valid driver's license with less than 6 points
Reliable, insured transportation

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

Ohio DODD Medicaid and Medicare Billing
IT hardware and Software knowledge

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance
Participate in the development of the agency's plans and programs as a strategic partner
Evaluate and advise on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action
Prepare monthly financial statements timely that accurately reflect the operations of Envision by department.
Develop credibility for the finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends to assist the CEO/President and the Board and other senior executives in performing their responsibilities
Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the agency
Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board as an effective developer of solutions to agency challenges
Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the financial discipline
Continual improvement of the budgeting process through education of department managers on financial issues impacting their budgets
Optimize the handling of bank and deposit relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance cash position
Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism which includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs
Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the agency may enter
Evaluation of the finance division structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as providing individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals
Prepare timely the financial and regulatory reports for three (3) HUD corporations
Oversee the aggregation and exporting of time and attendance data as required for the biweekly payroll cycles
Responsible for monitoring IT needs and infrastructure
