Essential Job Functions
Marketing and Communications:
- Collaborate with the Philanthropy Officer to create and implement marketing strategies to increase the organization’s visibility.
- Support social media management by maintaining and growing the agency’s presence on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and other platforms.
- Develop content, including photos and videos, which highlight the organization’s services, events, and the individuals it serves.
- Monitor and analyze social media metrics and propose new strategies to enhance engagement and outreach.
- Collect, write, edit, and organize content for external audiences, such as our annual appeals as well as all newsletters.
- Participate in related projects as needed, with opportunities to expand your skills in nonprofit development, marketing, and communications.
Fundraising and Donor Engagement:
- Assist in managing and maintaining the organization’s donor management system (CRM).
- Support donor and family events, including planning, coordination, and on-site assistance.
- Work closely with the Philanthropy Officer to cultivate donor relationships through communications and events.
- Help design and execute strategies to convert social media engagement into donor support.
Community and Volunteer Partnerships:
- Engage with community members and develop partnerships with local volunteer organizations.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration with community volunteers to enhance the organization’s mission.
- Function as a liaison between the organization and community volunteer groups to ensure ongoing partnerships.

- Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing is preferred. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, nonprofit management, or a related field will be considered.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative, flexible, and passionate about the organization’s mission and online community engagement.
- Experience with social media platforms and online marketing strategies.
- Familiarity with Salesforce and donor management systems is a plus.
- Interest in nonprofit management, community development, and serving individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have any direct reports.

Computer Skills:
Working knowledge of computers and be willing to learn or have knowledge of donor software programs and internal systems (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to work in a variety of settings and environments and has a low exposure risk to adverse weather conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Generally works in standard office conditions and climate.
May work in varied extreme outside weather conditions during special activities and fundraising events.
Works in a fast-paced environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a varied and diverse array of contacts.
Must be available to work flexible hours and is expected to come in at various times depending upon workload and business needs.
Physical Demands:
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
