JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for the Basic Needs programming including short-term services, hunger relief, and housing stability as well as oversight of the Davidson County family resource centers.
JOB DUTIES:
- Develops and implements comprehensive programs within the department such as Short-Term Services, Housing Stability, Hunger Relief, and affiliated programs at Davidson County Family Resource Centers.
- Develops, updates, and maintains all policies and procedures pertaining to the delivery of services and training within community-embedded family support programs.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship between the agency and other nonprofit, public sector service providers, and educational agencies.
- Works closely with the volunteer manager to identify and cultivate appropriate volunteers for programs, especially the Loaves and Fishes congregant meal program.
- Works with disaster relief coordinator to implement long-term recovery programming, as needed.
- Recommends staffing requirements and ensures that qualified personnel are hired, and a balanced workload is maintained.
- Prepares written reports as required by all service contracts and ensures that such contracts are executed in accordance with the policies and procedures mandated by the funding source(s).
- Hires, trains, and conducts performance appraisals of staff under direct supervision according to agency guidelines and established personnel policies, and reviews performance appraisals of all subordinate departmental staff conducted by their supervisor.
- In collaboration with the Associate Director of Programs, develops and regularly reviews the operating budget of the department, and assists in preparation of the following year’s budget.
- Monitors changing community needs and integrates that knowledge into program development.
- Ensures that all departmental records, reports, and documentation are maintained.
- Ensures compliance with funding sources and maintains high standards for client data using agency databases such as Salesforce and Charity Tracker.
- Provides direct supervision for program managers and onsite staff at the Catholic Pastoral Center, C.E. McGruder, and Casa Azafran, including Intake Specialists and Case Managers.
