As a Model-Based Systems Engineer, you will be working with the Director of Research, other Model Based System Engineers, and Parallax clients. When working with your team, you will collaborate with our team to develop standards for aero-propulsion FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control) systems. Your role will focus on creating and analyzing MBSE interface control documentation and models based on draft aero-propulsion control standards. This position is ideal for early- to mid-career professionals looking to grow their expertise in systems engineering within the aerospace sector.
In addition to that, a typical day-in-the-life of a Parallax Model-Based Systems Engineer includes:
- Developing SysML documents for draft FADEC standards.
- Creating operational MBSE models using Cameo for draft FADEC standards.
- Developing training documentation and provide guidance on using Cameo models.
- Analyzing draft FADEC standards to support the development of SysML documentation and Cameo models.
- Collaborating with customers and team members to determine MBSE product design requirements for aero-propulsion control systems.
- Implementing best practices in Interface Control Document (ICD) models and other exemplar models.
Ideally, you are looking for your next long-term challenge and have these skills:
- Bachelors of Science degree in Systems, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
- 3-5 years experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- U.S. Citizen
- Proficiency in SysML diagramming tools and Cameo System Modeler.
- Familiarity with INCOSE SEBoK, INCOSE CSEP certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of aerospace model development standards DO-331 and ARP4754B.
- Basic understanding of aerospace systems and propulsion control systems; FADEC experience is a plus.
