Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Person to provide assistance and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping individuals with daily living activities, promoting independence, and ensuring their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with developmental disabilities with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide support and assistance with meal preparation, feeding, and medication administration.
- Assist with transportation to appointments, community activities, and other outings.
- Assist with classroom activities and community outings under the direction and supervision of the LSI.
- Promote independence and encourage individuals to participate in activities that enhance their quality of life.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of services provided and progress made.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to be PACE certified.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 6:30A - 3:00P
