What Our Client Needs:
Our client is looking for a Standards Domain Specialist In this role, you will support leading industries in food, retail grocery, apparel, healthcare, and others, helping them address business and supply chain challenges through the implementation of standards. You will provide domain expertise to internal teams working directly with external stakeholders to develop solutions for today’s complex supply chain demands.
As a Standards Domain Specialist, you will develop deep domain expertise in globally unique identification, AIDC technologies (e.g., barcodes, RAIN RFID), and data-sharing standards such as GDSN, GPC, EDI for transactional data exchange, and EPCIS for physical event data capture and exchange.
Who You Are:
You are a detail-oriented professional with a strong foundation in standards and the ability to develop deep expertise in one or more areas. You are a collaborative partner, able to effectively communicate technical aspects of standards and represent member interests in global discussions. You are skilled in developing training materials, supporting educational initiatives, and providing technical documentation to facilitate implementation.
With a background in retail, healthcare, or the food sector, you bring strong written and verbal communication skills, an innate curiosity, and a growth mindset.
What You’ll Do:
As the Standards Domain Specialist, you will:

Develop and Maintain Standards Expertise: Develop deep domain expertise in the standards, keeping up to date with the latest developments and understanding the technical aspects. Share this expertise with the Standards Solutions Consultant team, functional partners, and in specific engagements.

Global Standards Management: Represent the voice of our client’s members in the Global Standards Management Process, participating in discussions, advocating for member needs, and contributing to new standards development.

Education and Training: Support the design and delivery of education and training programs, including creating training materials and delivering training with the Education and Training (E&T) team.

Support Tools and Documentation: Develop necessary tools and technical documentation to support industry implementation.
This position may require up to 5% travel and has no supervisory responsibilities.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in retail or supply chain management.
- Experience in the retail, healthcare, or food sector.
