Learning Links is expanding into Queensland and Northern NSW, and we’re looking for a passionate Financial Operations Officer – Charity Housie to join our growing team! This is your chance to play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth financial and compliance operations of our Charity Housie/Bingo sessions. This newly scoped role has an immediate start in January.
What you’ll do
You’ll act as the bridge between our Finance and Housie Operations teams, ensuring seamless operations while providing crucial compliance advice and guidance on legislation.
- Drive financial excellence: Manage transactions, oversee banking, handle stock purchases, and keep our financials running smoothly.
- Champion compliance: Maintain the Housie portal, ensure operations meet legislation, and keep inventory records spot-on.
- Lead with impact: Support your team, collaborate with finance and housie staff, and provide guidance that makes a real difference.
Day to day your responsibilities will be to:
- Oversee the financial and compliance operations of Housie activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, including session data and cash reconciliation.
- Manage the Housie banking account, ensuring all entries are processed and reconciled promptly.
- Oversee stock purchasing for Housie operations and approve payments.
- Prepare club reimbursement invoices and manage outstanding debtor collections.
- Conduct regular stock takes and process adjustments to ensure accurate inventory records.
- Maintain the Housie portal, updating information on venues, staff, and operations.
- Ensure all Housie operations comply with relevant legislation and internal policies.
- Provide guidance on operational issues during monthly Housie manager meetings.
- Collaborate closely with Housie staff and finance teams to process daily activities.
- Support other financial operations as needed, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead and mentor direct reports, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.

What you’ll bring
- 2-4 years of broad accounting experience or relevant qualifications in finance, economics, business, or accounting.
- Strong skills in financial systems (Salesforce/FinancialForce experience is a plus).
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills including in the Microsoft suite for products such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
