What Our Client Needs:
Our client is looking for a Senior Program Manager to join their Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) team. The EPMO is responsible for linking the business strategy to the delivery excellence of programs and projects through portfolio, program, and project management methods. This role supports programs and projects within the client’s portfolio, contributing to the continuous improvement of program management processes.
In this hands-on role, you will manage assigned programs and projects across their lifecycle using Lean-Agile principles. You will be responsible for assigning and managing work/resource allocation, progress tracking, identifying and resolving project risks, and continuous process improvement, as well as stakeholder satisfaction and metrics reporting.
Who You Are:
You are an experienced program manager with exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. You have strong project management skills and are adept at balancing multiple priorities in a matrixed environment. You have at least 10 years of experience in program/project management and can demonstrate successful leadership of cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
You hold a bachelor’s degree or related certifications in a business or program/project management field, with PMP and/or SAFe certification preferred. You understand the organization’s market and strategic objectives and are skilled at adapting to change.
What You’ll Do:
As the Senior Program Manager, you will:
- Take accountability for assigned portfolio programs and projects, ensuring successful, timely, and on-budget delivery with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Create, manage, and communicate solution release/launch plans, tracking deliverables, milestones, risks, and dependencies to ensure smooth rollout of new or updated business capabilities.
- Work closely with Product Management to understand the scope of platform releases and their impacts on stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve or escalate risks related to deadlines, resource allocation, and budget, ensuring alignment with program/project goals.
- Coordinate activities and accountability across all levels of internal/external business stakeholders.
- Develop and manage detailed plans and resource allocation for assigned EPMO initiatives.
- Track program/project progress, report metrics, and deliver progress reports to senior leadership.
- Support the Director of Program Management in driving continuous improvement, using Lean-Agile methodologies to enhance program delivery efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, escalating issues as needed.
- Provide transparent and timely communication on program/project status, process, and other relevant information to key stakeholders.
This position may require up to 5% travel.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree or related certifications in a business or program/project management field preferred.
- 10+ years of project management or equivalent experience with demonstrated success.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects within specified timescales and budgets.
- Knowledge of the organization’s market and strategic objectives is highly desirable.
- PMP and/or SAFe certification is desirable.
- Adaptability across diverse situations and individuals.
- Shared accountability for program/project outcomes in a matrix environment.
- Ability to build productive relationships and work teams to achieve goals.
- Proficient in managing multiple projects and setting clear expectations.
