Jan Aid Crew Leader - Substitute

The Association for Individual Development (AID) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people with physical, developmental, intellectual, mental health challenges, those who have suffered a trauma, and those at risk to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose. We are looking for a Jan Aid Crew Leader Sub who exemplifies that mission, and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference.”

What will you be doing?

Leading a three-person crew and working with individuals with diverse disabilities
Training and supervising people with disabilities on janitorial cleaning skills
Cleaning worksites both at AID and within the community
Completing paperwork and reporting on client progress/behaviors
Part Time

What will you bring to the table?

High school diploma or equivalent
One year of experience in the cleaning industry
One year of experience working with individuals with diverse disabilities
A valid Illinois driver’s license and automobile insurance
Ability to acquire and maintain CPR, first aid, and non-violent intervention certifications
Willingness to work a flexible schedule

What are the other requirements?

Attending in-service trainings, as required
Ability to maintain CPR, first-aid, OIG Rule 50 training, and non-violent intervention certifications
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Position may require significant walking, standing, and bending
