General Summary:
The Strategic Business Manager Leadership Products & Licensing (open enrollment, executive coaching/team coaching, assessment products, licensing) supports Markets Europe strategy by engaging in activity that increases client satisfaction and loyalty with our existing clients; maximizes penetration with our existing clients to increase share and impact; and prospecting and capturing business with new clients. This role works in partnership with Strategic Client Managers and Directors, Implementation Partners and other subject matter experts to meet clients’ business needs and advance CCL’s mission.
With guidance of the Head of Leadership Products, the SBM participates in sales activities such as working on new leads assigned by the Head of Leadership Products and managing existing client accounts. The SBM ensures optimal presentation of CCL’s capabilities, materials, and the full portfolio of Coaching products to CCL’s clients and prospects.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Articulates effectively CCL’s mission and value proposition with clients, prospects and partners.
- Responsible for developing an assigned portfolio of accounts, including developing and implementing upsell strategies and leveraging marketing efforts for own portfolio.
- Responsible for reaching individual and regional revenue targets (every fiscal year).
- Develops proactively and converts accounts opportunities into contracts that supports Market Europe strategies, based on the assigned portfolio and in line with the CCL business needs and margin goals.
- Leads or participates in client relationship management teams by developing and implementing client acquisition, retention, and growth strategies (depending on complexity or type of account).
- Responsible for managing, updating, and communicating a robust pipeline from lead/prospect identification through contract.
- Establish and review forecasts at key moments of the sales cycle including total spend by client for the year.
- Leverages Client Relationship Management systems to capture critical account and pipeline information for use with account teams, Regional Sales Director and the broader enterprise.
- Initiates contact with clients as assigned by the Regional Director. With the appropriate subject matter expert(s) involved, assesses client needs to determine desired learning outcomes. Links outcomes to CCL portfolio for the client and sells ability to deliver outcomes by articulating CCL’s value proposition.
- Manages margin and client satisfaction, negotiates pricing and contracting scope, along with support of Implementation Partners and Contracts Specialists.
- Negotiates design and delivery scope with clients within established guidelines, in collaboration with Leadership Solutions Partners.
- Participates in regular sales meeting, as part of Europe Sales group: sharing best practices, learning about new CCL products, offerings and how best to integrate with clients, and supporting team and enterprise goals.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related subject matter required.
- 3-5years proven experience in sales, account management, or customer relationship management, ideally a combination of these domains.
- Experience preferably in a corporate environment (sales experience preferred in service industry).
- Demonstrated skills in targeting and prospecting new clients and/or building client relationships.
Other Requirements/Experience:
- Willing to travel 25% as necessary
