The Nigerian Women Trust

representation of women in Nigeria<\/span>’s <\/span>governance<\/span> system<\/span> at all levels and address the growing concerns about
the gender imbalance in elective and appointive positions. The Nigerian Women

About the
Role:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
The <\/span>Consultant<\/span> is responsible for <\/span>writing a baseline report upon which <\/span>monitoring, and evaluation can be<\/span> carried out. <\/span>
<\/p>
Specific
Tasks<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Provide <\/span>sufficient data and information <\/span>to
validate <\/span>a project’s<\/span> logical framework ahead of implementation.<\/span>
<\/p>
Capture changes in the
views, attitudes and behaviors of intended beneficiaries (women in
politics, political parties and electoral integrity) from 1999 -2022 and
give a projection of future trends.<\/span>
<\/li>Identify and source
secondary sources where the information is available.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Produce a baseline report that adequately provides the background for
the implementation of the project with recommendations from findings.<\/span>
<\/p>
The Baseline Survey would serve as a
foundation for impact to be measured at the end of the project.<\/span>
<\/li><\/ul>Deliverables:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
Production of a
baseline report that establishes the take off point for the expected results in
the implementation of an approved project. validated log frame, and work -plan.<\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>
Educational<\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/b>Qualifications:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
Advance Degree or certification in Political Science, <\/span>Public <\/span>Policy<\/span> and<\/span> Management, Gender and Development Studies, International Relations, or any
related field.<\/span> <\/span>A Master’s Degree in development or a related
field is an added advantage.<\/span>
<\/p>
<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
Experience:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>At least 5 years of professional
experience working in one or more of the following areas: public policy
analysis, <\/span>gender and electoral
process, <\/span>development, strategic and action planning, gender
equality and women’s empowerment training.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Relevant working experience in
conducting primary research (quantitative methods, qualitative methods)
promoting gender equality in all aspects of electoral and governance processes
or related fields.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Demonstrated experience in
developing quality research methodology involving multiple countries
consultations and extensive desktop review.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Possess solid political acumen,
but not partisan.<\/span>
<\/p>
Core
skills:<\/span><\/b>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>Good command of written and
spoken English <\/span>Language is <\/span>essential.<\/span>
<\/p>
· <\/span><\/span><\/span>A good <\/span>knowledge<\/span> of women’s political
participation issues, and an active interest in the workings of civil society.<\/span>
