Primary Title (standardized): Associate Director, Venture Philanthropy
Location: India - Mumbai (Hybrid)
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end portfolio management for assigned thematic areas - Build strategy, conduct due diligence, and recommend grants and manage stakeholder's relationship.
- Design and implement rigorous monitoring & evaluation frameworks, theory of change, and KPI dashboards to measure social outcomes and inform adaptive program management.
- Drive engagement: negotiate terms, structure financing, and maintain strategic relationships with donors /funders, non-profits and other stakeholders.
- Develop and execute capacity‑building and technical assistance plans for investees to accelerate scaling and improve sustainability.
- Perform financial modelling and scenario analysis to assess risk, impact potential and value-for-money for grant or investment proposals.
- Represent the organisation in donor forums, co-investor discussions and public-facing events; prepare high-quality investment memos and impact reports.

Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record of managing venture philanthropy or impact investing portfolios in India or comparable markets.
- Strong analytical capability with hands-on experience in financial modelling, investment memos and impact measurement.
- Experience working with NGOs, social enterprises, donor agencies, and co-investors; demonstrated ability to negotiate and structure deals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to senior donors and boards.
