Position Summary

We are seeking a spiritually mature and organized Educational Coordinator to manage all academic components of our faith -based residential recovery program. This role is responsible for overseeing the core curriculum, managing student academic progress, and coordinating all educational, chapel, and outreach activities. The ideal candidate will have a heart for discipleship and a passion for helping men grow in knowledge and faith as part of their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities
<\/h3>
- Curriculum & Instruction:<\/b> Oversee the implementation of the Adult & Teen Challenge curriculum. This includes directly teaching classes, administering tests, and grading student work.
<\/li> - Academic Planning (GSNL & PSNL):<\/b> Design, outline, and manage the academic plan for the center. This involves creating the weekly Group Studies for New Life (GSNL)<\/b> class schedule and developing individualized Personal Studies for New Life (PSNL)<\/b> learning contracts with each participant.
<\/li> - Student Counseling:<\/b> Provide regular academic counseling and one -on -one support to participants, helping them overcome learning barriers and tracking their progress through their GSNL and PSNL requirements.
<\/li> - Monday Night Chapel Coordination:<\/b> Take primary responsibility for the weekly Monday night chapel service, including scheduling, coordinating, and hosting guest speakers, pastors, and teachers.
<\/li> - Sunday Rally Coordination:<\/b> Actively schedule and coordinate Sunday rallies and presentations at local churches to share program testimonies and build community support.
<\/li> - Volunteer Management:<\/b> Recruit, train, schedule, and provide ongoing support for volunteer teachers and tutors who assist with classes, GED prep, or other educational services.
<\/li> - Record Keeping:<\/b> Maintain accurate and confidential student records, including test scores, class completion, and overall academic progress.
<\/li> - Program Collaboration:<\/b> Work closely with other staff members (such as the Vocational Coordinator) to ensure an integrated approach to each participant's recovery.

Requirements<\/h3>
Qualifications
<\/h3>
- A strong, mature Christian faith and agreement with the mission and values of Adult & Teen Challenge.
<\/li>
Affiliation with the Assemblies of God is preferred.<\/b>
<\/li>A passion for teaching and discipling men in recovery.
<\/li>Proven experience in education, ministry, or counseling.
<\/li>Strong public speaking, teaching, and interpersonal communication skills.
<\/li>Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
<\/li>Experience in coordinating volunteers or managing guest speakers is highly preferred.
<\/li>A Bachelor’s degree in Education, Ministry, Counseling, or a related field is preferred but not required.<\/b> Relevant ministry or life experience will be strongly considered.
