From greeting guests with a smile to helping plan events and keeping our Centers running smoothly, your work will ensure our troops feel at home�wherever they are in the world.
What You�ll Do
In this role, you�ll be part of a team that keeps our Centers thriving. Your responsibilities will include:
- Be the Face of the Center � Welcome and orient visitors, share information on amenities and programs, and provide excellent customer service and travel support.
- Keep Things Running Smoothly � Assist with daily operations like opening/closing procedures, safety protocols, facility readiness, and inventory management.
- Support Programs & Events � Help plan and deliver engaging programs, activities, and special events both on and off base.
- Bring Our Story to Life � Create flyers, posters, and digital content to promote Center programs. Support social media updates and ensure communications reflect USO brand standards.
- Volunteer Engagement � Assist in coordinating volunteers, track their service, and support their success as part of the USO team.
- Administrative Support � Answer phones and emails, maintain reports and files, and handle light cash-handling responsibilities.
- Team Player � Step in to support colleagues or cover other roles when needed.
What We�re Looking For
We�re seeking someone who is passionate about service, flexible in a fast-moving environment, and excited to contribute to a mission that matters.
Qualifications include:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0�2 years of experience in customer service, event planning, marketing support, recreation facility operations, or a related role (nonprofit or military community experience is a plus).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Organized, reliable, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms; experience with design tools or desktop publishing is a bonus.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and handle confidential or culturally sensitive information with professionalism.
- Ability to meet background check, security clearance, and licensing requirements (including driver�s license and, if applicable, passport and foreign driver�s license).
Work Schedule
This is a non-exempt position that requires a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays to support Center operations and mission needs.
