Graphic Design Specialist
The Graphic Design Specialist is a creative, solutions-driven professional responsible for leading the organization’s visual design strategy and ensuring cohesive brand expression across all internal and external channels. This role requires strong conceptual thinking, excellent design execution, and the ability to manage projects independently, and a passion for building a consistent, unified visual identity. The Graphic Designer will act as a key creative partner within the Marketing and Communications team and will influence the visual direction of the organization.
Responsibilities:
Visual Strategy & Brand Stewardship
- Develop and execute high-quality visual content aligned with Catholic Charities’ brand standards and messaging.
- Maintain and evolve brand guidelines to ensure design consistency across all departments and regions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for design standards, templates, and overall visual identity management.
- Redefine our brand to be more visually appealing and modernized with trends.
Design & Creative Production
- Create visually compelling assets for print, digital, social media, web, presentations, events, fundraising campaigns, and internal communications.
- Design multi-page reports, one-sheets, signage, infographics, brochures, flyers, and annual impact materials.
- Produce cohesive visual systems for campaigns, ensuring alignment across all platforms.
- Prepare files for print and manage production with external vendors as needed.
Project Management & Collaboration
- Work closely with internal partners including the teams of Advancement, Program, and Data, to understand needs and deliver high-quality design solutions.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from concept to final artwork, with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
- Collaborate with data and the marketing & communications team to ensure cohesive storytelling.
- Provide design expertise and guidance for internal requests, helping teams articulate and refine their visual needs.
Quality & Accessibility
- Ensure all design executions meet accessibility standards and support inclusive communication.
- Review, edit, and refine design submissions for accuracy, clarity, and brand alignment.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

Job Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred, relevant experience in marketing, creative design, and strategic alignment.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
- Exceptional organization, multitasking, and follow-through skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Must be able to work independently and to prioritize multiple projects on a timely basis.
- Must have proficient knowledge of computers, Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office software.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating print, digital, brand systems, and campaign design.
- Must have valid Ohio Driver’s License and reliable means of transportation for local travel.
- Final applicant is required to be fingerprinted to complete background check.
