Position Overview
The Field Sales Executive is responsible for driving occupancy and revenue growth for senior living communities through direct field outreach, relationship building, and lead generation. This role focuses on visiting hospitals, clinics, community organizations, and referral sources to build partnerships, generate qualified leads, and support prospective residents and families through the decision-making process.
Key Responsibilities
1. Field Outreach & Lead Generation
- Conduct regular visits to hospitals, rehabilitation centers, GP practices, community centers, and local organizations.
- Build relationships with social workers, discharge planners, physicians, and other referral partners.
- Generate qualified leads through in-person networking, presentations, and community engagement.
- Attend senior fairs, health camps, and local events to promote community services.
2. Sales Pipeline Management
- Maintain an active pipeline of prospects and referrals generated through field activity.
- Follow up promptly with leads and ensure consistent communication until conversion.
- Conduct needs assessments to understand prospects’ care requirements and living preferences.
3. Community Tours & Conversions
- Coordinate with the on-site sales team to schedule and deliver personalized tours for prospects and families.
- Present community features, services, care levels, pricing, and move-in options clearly and professionally.
- Support sales closings by providing guidance, reassurance, and accurate information.
4. Market Research & Territory Development
- Analyze local market trends, competitor offerings, and referral activity.
- Identify new outreach opportunities and maintain a structured territory plan.
- Provide feedback to management on market gaps, opportunities, and challenges.
5. Collaboration & Reporting
- Work closely with community managers, care teams, and marketing teams to align sales and outreach efforts.
- Document daily field activities and interactions in the CRM system.
- Provide weekly reports on lead generation, referrals, and outreach performance.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Healthcare, or related field (preferred).
- 1–4 years of experience in field sales, business development, healthcare sales, or senior living services.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to engage confidently with healthcare professionals and community organizations.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working independently in the field.
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities.
